About the Artist

Roger LaFrenière’s artistic journey spans five decades, showcasing a remarkable evolution in his work. His stunning pieces grace some of Canada’s premier corporate boardrooms and have been displayed in countless galleries across the country. From Roger: “My work has grown and changed over the years, as I have, but not necessarily at the same rate. It floats in and out of flirtations with semi-realism and abstraction. Both of these genres are important to my opus because they permit me, as well as the viewer, to input their feelings into the work. My work is an outpouring of love that I have with the light, the texture, and the movement of this beautiful living, breathing land that we are so fortunate to live on. The Canadian Prairies offer us clean air, pristine skies, and an ever-changing panorama of visuals. Each season is a beautiful force in itself and brings about a constant renewal of energy, of hope, and for the visual artist, a palette of new colours. We are truly fortunate to share the subtleties of such a powerful source.”
