About the Artist
Marti Salerni finds endless joy in capturing the natural world through watercolor, acrylic, and mixed media. A pharmacist by profession and a self-taught artist by passion, Marti embraces the creative freedom that comes with not always knowing the “rules”—and delighting in breaking them. “I am a mere painter—the greats are artists,” she humbly says, quoting Robert Shaw, a seasoned artist from Lucca, Italy she met during their stay there. But spend a moment with Marti’s work, and you’ll see how deeply that humility is paired with incredible talent.
Marti has been painting for over 15 years and currently calls Florida home. Her pieces have been exhibited at Island Gallery West in Florida, and her work now resides in private collections across North America, Germany, London, and Japan.
Each painting bursts with color and serves as a tribute—whether to someone she's met or a personal experience that shaped her. Her contemporary style, touched with realism, invites viewers into moments of beauty and emotion. For Marti, every brushstroke is an opportunity to learn, grow, and share a little more of her vibrant world.
